Back in Townsville

We are back up in Townsville after a very hectic couple of months getting the house ready to rent out. After a 3 day drive up the coast we arrived here pretty exhausted. We were met with a very pleasant surprise. Our dear friend Peter, who had been keeping an eye on the boat for us , had cleaned inside, washed the decks, made the beds, made a delicious home made soup for our lunch, supplied a bottle of wine and even found time to arrange some flowers for us!! What a lovely man.

Having a bit of a problem finding space for everything we bough with us, so I have decided to get some waterproof containers and utilise the bilges!!

Its great to be back in the warm and all our friends gave us such a great welcome. Theres a few problems wiith the boat that need to be fixed, the ongoing saga with the toilets being changed to electric ones, the cabin lights arent working [thet can wait] the wind speed indicator has stopped so that means a climb up the mast again, which is not a lot of fun.At least the engines started first time!

We went to our great market this morning and stocked up with delicous tropical fruits in the hope we will be going out for sea trials later in the week.

It's my birthday in a few weeeks time, so were planning a fancy dress party, the theme is come as you were in  a past life, so pleant of scope ther!e! We will have our band play some music and there will be plenty of dancing aswell.
