Sanctuary Cove Boat Show 2016
We went to the show mainly to look at Catamarans, we boarded Lagoons, Leopards, Fountain -Pajout, and another cat, Knysna, designed by the same person who designed ours.
The Leopards had an extra forward cockpit, in front of the lounge window. There was room for a table and two chairs. We thought that this could be dangerous n rough weather, as there was no way the water caught there would drain quickly, and the boat could somersault. But for fair weather cruising it looked ideal to catch the breeze while at anchor.
Most boats only had a double bed, wheras we have two kingsize.
We also found a collapsible ladder for our rubber dinghy, I just don’t have the upper body strength to get myself back in after a swim. The ladder was just over $300, so is on our wish list.
We stayed at the Meriton in Southport, a modern and spacious hotel with very helpful staff. The following night out hotel Runaway Bay was rather depressing, and in dire need of renovation, so in spite of a delightful manager, we left early and stayed a night at our favourite hotel in Brisbane, The Point in Kangaroo Point , and caught up with Gray and Fay, our neighbourrs from Mooloolaba, and Jenny, from Condessa De Mar, from Port Douglas.
