Dennis and Edie

Dennis Bigg and Edie Anderson on Tellurian

Tellurian is a 44 ft Roberts ketch with 3 double cabins. I was immediately struck by her great design which gives a feeling of light and space, yet has so much storage! The galley is the largest I have seen on a monohull this size. Yet she is very speedy under sail, as we I've noticed when we sail with her.

Dennis is a retired bus driver, and sails between  Rockhampton and Cairns each year to visit his family. He is a very competent fisherman, he even knew it was a karge Cod that Sam caught on the reef by the way it was fighting the line while it was being hauled in!

Edie is a child care worker living in Peregian Beach,  with her daughter Nikki, who was  introduced to Dennis by a friend via Face book. They talked every day, had a 6 day trial trip on the boat, then she took 2 months long service leave and joined him on his voyage up the coast. A huge step to take for someone with so little sailing experience, but ,luckily, she is loving it!!

They are both musical with a  great  sense of rhythm, and play well together with Dave and Sam. Edie and I are very similar in lots of ways, we both love dancing, for example, and share the same sense of humour. It's great travelling with them and Sam.
